A Night of Fashion with WELLTA

By Parentingsmh @parentingsmh
If I was 5'10" I'd probably want to be a model. And why not?  The clothes, the hair, makeup, and always being on the cutting edge of fashion would be an awesome way to spend my days.  But alas, I came out vertically challenged and after two kids, um, "model" just isn't happening.  The great thing though, not being a model only keeps you off the runway, but you can still be in the mix.

Like this weekend at the WELLTA Spring/Summer 2012 showing of her little black dress collection.

Designer: Wellta Boualaphanh

The event was held at Smith Commons, a trendy lounge on H Street in Washington, DC.

From the time I arrived, I could just feel the fashion and style oozing all up and through the place.  It was great to be around so many beautiful people (they were really nice too) with awesome style.

The hit of WELLTA's new line is the eternity dress.

The dress has a really sleek and elegant design.   The best part about the eternity dress is that you can change how you wear it so its looks like a different dress every time you put it on.

The eternity dress is a must have for the upcoming Spring/Summer season.  I am in love with this dress, but I have to admit it reminds of the moby wrap and frankly, I'm gonna need a set of instructions.
The other looks in the collection were just as spectacular.  They were sexy, flirty, and dramatic.

Now the dresses alone were show stoppers, but you couldn't help but admire the flawless hair and make up that completed the looks.
Souny West (right) owner of W Salon in Burke, VA and her staff did an amazing job with hair and make up.

Did I say make up?  Well, I can't mention the make up without giving credit to Anna Castillo (left) of Ink Cosmetics.
These ladies are true divas in every sense of the word.  They're beautiful, fun as hell to be around, and have passion for what they do.  It was inspiring to be in a room full of so many driven women with such strong entrepreneurial spirit.  It was a great night for networking and meeting new people.  Meeting local (somewhat) bloggers like Angelica from Clarendon Moms made the night a huge win.
The room was full of awesomeness (the female kind), and they all had style.

After this show, I got all sorts of ideas for upping my mom sexy game.  I'm pretty sure you guessed it, but just in case, step 1 will be getting my WELLTA eternity dress.  Don't worry, the hubs approves.
