So, I believe I am back! This time of year must be 'burnout' time for me - when the first coursework deadline of the university deadline nears amongst the buzz of a new year, I seem to crumble a little bit and have to return to home comforts! I popped back home for a couple of days because we permenantly had visitors round the house the past couple of weeks and despite loving living in such a social house this year, it get annoying when you have lots of work to catch up on. It must have been a 'mid-university' crisis as I dyed my hair raspberry pink just before heading back to Cov! The Schwarzkopf XXL range has always been a favorite of mine, and their new semi-permenant collection is a winner in my books.
Deadline date has passed (huzzah!) which means I can get back to being me for a bit - I've been all over the place recently as I've had cold after cold and everything was just getting on top of me. Sometimes I just need to learn to chill out and take a back seat for a while. I just wasn't in the 'blogging zone' as I had so many other things on my mind...but my mind is now has had a good spring clean, so I am back in action!
I passed my probation at work and have had my holiday allowance extended, and almost considered applying for a promotion but I don't think I could handle being a supervisor, despite the vacancy being the same hours I already do. With my extra job at university, I am earning what the pay rise would be, so I can't really complain :)
Halloween was a fun occasion again this year, as we had our second successful house party. I went for the 'zombie doctor' look as I love any excuse to cover myself in face paint and fake blood...take that as you will. I have to say it was much more fun than last year as we were all still pretty new Freshers this time last year...now we've all known each other for far too long! But that makes for a much better party ;)
I am contemplating a new blog layout and formulating a proper blogging schedule to make sure I don't neglect my posting duties (not really duties but y'know what I mean), so keep your eyes peeled!
