A LUSH-esque Solid Shampoo Bar…

I’m always on the prowl for new beauty products that pique my interest….and One’s Solid Shampoo Bar and Natural Solid Conditioner captured me, pastel orange disc, strange name (Hair Biscuit?), and all. First, what’s not to love about the concept? A “solid” shampoo and conditioner that you can travel with and skip those dreaded spills and leaks? Sign me up. (Not to mention the smallness factor…more room for that pair of shoes or three you’ll be buying in between site seeing and flirting). But the most intriguing part is its green factor: eco, animal, and earth-friendly. This all-natural shampoo even comes in a recyclable tin (I feel greener already). Well, then…how, exactly, does a dry bar produce suds for your tresses? Simple: rub the soap-like bar three times or so over your wet hair, and, voila…major lather action for your tresses. And One scores over-achiever points as they offer a variety of bars including one for oily hair and one for blondes.

It reminds me a smidge of handmade cosmetic provider LUSH but is a little friendlier on the beauty budget (at less than $6 bucks a tin). In fact, each bar claims to provide as much shampoo as three of its 8-ounce liquid cousins. The scent is pleasantly floral but not overly so (read: your hair won’t smell like a bottle of perfume).

So, beauty seekers, if you’re in the market for an earth-friendly, all-natural, portable shampoo, One’s hair care line has got you covered. Lather me in love…
