A Letter To September

A Letter To September
photos c/o lori romney photographyOh September, we meet again. I feel like you were just here, but I'm not complaining. You can stay as long as you like, as far as I am concerned. Honestly, 30 days of you is just simply not enough. Let's make grand plans, you and I. We'll pull out the boots, the hats, the scarves, and still enjoy those last fleeting days of summer heat. We'll cook with pumpkin and apples and still savor the last of the campfires and barbecues. Because September, you are the perfect balance of Summer and Fall, I could not ask for a more perfect month. Please, stay as long as you like.***While I was in Utah, I was lucky enough to spend a day with Lori from Lori Romney Photography. She was photographing Lauren's wedding day and between events, she and I had lunch, did a little shopping, then took some blog pics. She is one of my very favorite photographers and I was so happy we were able to squeeze in this shoot. It was at Lauren's reception venue, and I couldn't have asked for a better backdrop. Barbed Wire and Lace is just like September- the perfect union of two amazing things- rustic and antique chic.I hadn't planned ahead for these photos and didn't have time to run home to change. So I took this ASOS swing dress (worn here) that I had worn the day before and threw my new go-to jacket over the top. With a brown, leather belt and some booties, it becomes the perfect outfit for a fall day. Too bad these pics were taken in the hot August sun and I was actually sweating bullets glistening... like a lady does.A Letter To SeptemberA Letter To SeptemberA Letter To SeptemberA Letter To SeptemberA Letter To SeptemberA Letter To SeptemberA Letter To SeptemberA Letter To SeptemberA Letter To SeptemberA Letter To SeptemberA Letter To September
