Happy Memorial Day! I decided to celebrate a bit early by hosting a super easy to put together vegetarian brunch for a few friends at the new house. A few days before the brunch, my local Ace Hardware delivered and installed my new Weber Genesis EP-330 Propane Gas Grill in minutes and even gave me a quick tutorial on how to use it. All for free! As I was going to be grilling without the help of M, I wanted to make sure I knew the ins and outs of Grilling 101. I also stopped by my local Ace Hardware to pick up a few accessories for the bbq like my Weber 3 Piece Stainless Steel Tool Set and a Weber Grill Cover. I also couldn't resist getting a box of mason jars. They're so versatile as I use them for drinking, canning, and even for storing makeup brushes.
I decided on a very light vegetarian menu so we wouldn't feel too heavy after the 11am meal. I love corn as it's one of those quintessential summer food so I put a few on the grill along with a medley of vegetables. While the corn and veggies cooked, I prepared some avocado toast, stacked a plate of festive cupcakes, and mixed a batch of pink lemonade. Within minutes, the table looked holiday ready and the food was ready as well. The grill was so easy to use that even a novice griller like myself mastered it on the first try. I can't wait to spend our summer on the deck cooking and grilling everything in sight as this model even comes with a side burner! Because our backyard is still undergoing a bit of construction I didn't have time to spruce it up properly but it's on the to do list! And I'll definitely referring to this guide.
