Givenchy Beauty has been a major source of makeup lust for me, and for good reason. I mean, it just seem to always get it right in my books; drool-worthy packaging and the concept of barely there beauty that enhances rather than overtakes a woman’s natural charm.
Sometime back I had the opportunity to attend their gorgeous launch held in the beautiful Sofitel hotel suite, where sophistication was the theme.
Didn't hurt either we had cute butlers serving us cocktails and what nots...
Eschewing the usual bandwagon of BB cushions, the Givenchy Blurring Foundation Balm reminds us why at the end of the day, foundations are still worth their weight. I found the crème a happy medium between a BB cream and a liquid foundation: it's tad heavier texture makes it slightly 'draggy' to apply during application, so my tip is either to prep your face with a primer / moisturiser for a smoother finish.

Coverage wise, I found it to be a medium with one application. Its effective in covering up a majority of , but redness in the nasal-labial area and darker blemish marks still needs concealer. That said, I found that the staying power was pretty good; its matte finish transits to a dewy look instead of a total melting down.My shade in 4 Nude Beige was very close to my skintone, and actually has a slight peachy undertone that helps to give my complexion abit of glow.Givenchy also launches its latest dainty fragrance; Eaudemoiselle Eau Florale and its was love at first sniff. I'd best describe it as the exhilarating feeling of a first love, or the whimsical scent of beautiful stranger that breezed by you. I am deeply infatuated over its refreshing composition that opens with the fruity juice notes of pear and pink grapefruit. At its heart, sparkles another dreamy floral bouquet of wild Japanese roses and watery jasmine.
This fresh floral scent veers to be more faint, so you may be inclined to spritz more than your usual. I found it quite reminiscent to the Anna Sui’s Secret Wish fragrance, so if you like that you I clocked it at about 2 hours before it fades into the warm base notes of blonde woods and musk.
Then again, when a fragrance smells this beautiful, you’ll definitely want to reapply it again.
