After returning from Everest, we headed over to Pokhara for a few days to relax, see a bit of the Annapurna Range and explore Nepal's western region. After a rather epic eight hour bus ride to get there, we ended up taking it pretty easy for the rest of our stay - spending a morning sailing on Phewa Lake and otherwise just rambling around town. Jesse was able to enjoy what he claims was the best haircut and shave of his life -- an hour long experience that managed to transform him from an Everest mountain man back to his typical less beardy self. While I was thrilled to be reunited with $4 glasses of wine , hot showers and satellite TV (for the Royal Wedding of course!) All in all, a lovely and quiet last few days to cap off one pretty incredible month in Nepal.
