A Creepy Spider Halloween Party

By Vixenmade @vixenMade
If you've been following my blog for awhile, you know I always throw an annual Halloween party.
There's something fun about having everyone dress up in costume.  Like being a kid again.
And, of course, the kids love it too.
This year, I went for something a little creepy.  Spiders.  Anything with eight legs has that effect on me.  Ha!
Anyways, we had the party this past weekend so I thought I'd share it with you all.

See all those crawling spiders with the hanging spider sacs?  *shiver*  Told ya.  Creepy.

My husband (who I like to call my 4th child) is a maniac for cotton candy.  So we bought a cotton candy machine.  Best $35 I've spent.  Keeps him busy and out of the way. Kidding. So we used it for these 'spider sacs' on a stick!

I tried my hand at making my own lollipops.  I used this recipe from Momma Hen's Coop.  They worked great!  With crawling spiders, too.

I was trying to get the look of spiders with their eggs on the cupcakes.  Just in case you can't figure it out.

That jar was full of spider gummy candies.

These label holders were so much fun to make, too!  I found the how to at The Sweetest Occasion.

The punch was a recipe from here.  Which also included some tasty 'blood' to add to your drink.

We used the same drinks for the kids from my daughter's Scooby Doo Party, which were a big hit!

I also served some munchies.  Like a Layered Dip.

And a spider shaped cheeseball.  Yum!!

We played a few games, too.  A spider can toss game, 'hot pumpkin' (for the kids), a scary movie trivia game and a 'Guess the Weight' game with our pumpkins!

With prizes, of course!
