Introduction
A Case of Identity: CerebralMix 2014-11-16
Back again with a new series of CerebralMix shows. This is going to be a three part series focused on the stories of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s most famous detective: Sherlock Holmes. In A Case of Identity, Holmes proves that some matters can be easily solved by just a little bit of observation and careful attention to details. It’s the hallmark that set Holmes apart of the police investigation procedures at the time.
It’s easy to see why so many people love these stories, they have become the prototype for all things of the mystery genre of writing. But, I doubt that even Sir Arthur Conan Doyle could have imagined how deeply the ideas of deductive reasoning, or crime scene inspection, and forensic science would become in establishing police investigations.
So, tonight I present the first of three Sherlock Holmes stories: A Case Of Identity.
Readings
As I did with Candide, instead of presenting a full-text copy of the story, I will provide a link to the eBook version of each story. A Case of Identity can be found in Library of the world’s best mystery and detective stories edited by Julian Hawthorne.
