A Bold and a Nude.

A Bold and a Nude.
If christmas isn't a time for a new lipstick or two, then when is? I was lucky enough to get one lipstick from my Mum and Dad, and with the extra help of a voucher I purchased my second of the week. Obviously, the price of these have gone up a lot in recent years so they are a bit of a luxury option now and color selection has to be a carefully thought out process, it's nice to have a treat every now and again though and it definitely makes you feel that bit more special when you put them on.
MAC Patisserie Lustre - A pretty brown pink nude, this lipstick is the most perfecting one I think that I have ever found, and possibly the most versatile too. I literally think it would look perfect with any look from a heavy smokey eye to a simple swipe of mascara. Extremely buttery, with a hint of gloss this still has a pretty good staying power and has become my everyday favorite. I can't get enough of it.
MAC Ruby Woo Retro Matte - On the other end of the spectrum, I decided to push the boat out with a shocking red. Now I know that I won't get as much use out of this, it's definitely a party colour, but I'm pretty sure that you couldn't find a more perfect red. It is a retro matte finish, so extremely drying but this helps it stick around literally forever, and the true red doesn't lean to warm or cold, working perfectly with my skin tone. It needs a proper lip prep to sit properly, but once it's on it's worth it, and it won't go anywhere.
So, two very different lipsticks both in color and finish, which one do you prefer? They both have their time and place, but I don't think I could ever pick between them.
