In putting up a business, it is a must that people who manage it will seize "customer-driven service". And that is what I experienced in one of the Dental Clinics along Boni Avenue.
Oral Wellness Dental Clinic is owned by Dr. Danielle Ericka Anne L. Rodriguez and Dr. Paul Michael D. Chua. It is situated along the stretch of Boni Avenue Corner Halcon st, Mandaluyong City near RTU. It is easy to find the said clinic because it's the same building where Jollibee located at - Unit 101, 2nd floor.
Not surprisingly, Oral Wellness is a family-owned business due to the fact that the clinic is quite small and they only have one assistant. However, despite of the space scarcity, you can feel that the service is superb - in comparison to the dental clinics that I've been. Honestly speaking, especially if you are a policy holder of various HMO providers, you can easily distinguish if such clinic is revenue-oriented or patient-oriented by their service.
Prior of going to Oral Wellness, I visited one of the Dental Clinics situated in Robinson Pioneer to have my oral prophylaxis but I decided not to continue with procedure because they quote me the amount of PHP 1800 on the top of my HMO coverage.
"Sir, we need to do deep cleaning in your case" said the dentist.
Of course, I wasn't born yesterday to accept the "up sell". I went directly to Oral Wellness to set up an appointment. The assistant was very accommodating to look for an available schedule. She (the assistant) even kept in touch with me even if I did not make my original schedule and have rescheduled me for another time slot - it was huge plus for me as a patient.
Come the day of the said procedure, Dr Danielle attentively lends her hand to me answering my questions regarding my oral problems (eg. Braces, fixed bridge and tooth implant).
" Tiyaga naman nito mag explain." She even spent time explaining what works best for me and I can sense that this woman is not a money-oriented. She did clean my teeth with full coverage of my HMO without asking me for additional payment unlike the previous dental clinic.
She always built rapport to me whenever there was an awkward moment. She always asked an apology whenever I got hurt due to the intense cleaning - I don't care if it was genuine or not as long as I felt OK.
" May iba kasi talagang matataray na dentist and we can't do something about it". Good thing with these two dentists they are both visually pleasant to me, yung tipong di ka matatakot - positive vibes.
Dr. Danielle prescribed me an anti -bleeding thingy for my gums and gave me tips on how to maintain my gums healthy.
I left the clinic with a smile saying "Babalik ako ditto at sila ang mag aalaga ng ipin ko". Their service is worth paying for, yung ikaw nalang mahihiya pag binarat mo pa.
I will surely recommend this to my officemates who are also policy holder with Intellicare.
