A 2014 Reflection..

By Hollysbeautybox @hollysbeautybox
Hi loves!
Another new year is upon us and while I don't want to waste my life away, I genuinely cannot wait until this horrible year is by with.
2014 was a year of lows for me. Be prepared to be depressed haha!
I lost my Papa after a long stint in hospital. The day before he was due to come home to see out his time, he died and tore our hearts into a million pieces at the same time.  Illness struck some of my closest friends which for their privacy, I won't go into. We lost a dear friend, a 38 year old lover of life which is an unrecoverable loss for his family in particular.
Aside from that, I've had friendships dissolve.  People who I was always there for in their time of need, were not there for me and so I've come to realize they can't be a part of my life anymore, something I've really struggled coming to terms with.  People are good, I realize that, but there's been many a day in 2014 where people have upset me for many reasons that I won't go into or I become just as 'bad' as they are.
I was lucky to be invited to more than 40 blogger events, brand launches, parties and concerts in 2014 - none of which I went to, partly because I felt guilty for grasping life and being happy when some people aren't here to have that anymore.  Partly because I was scared. Life has made me much more fearful than ever before.
One thing that has always remained a firm favorite of mine even in 2014, is this here blog. I love it. I love blogging and telling you all about my life, I love hearing from you all and have really made some good friends from it. That, I hope will not change in 2015!
My blog has grown in 2014, so much more than my expectations, which in some ways scares me and in some other ways makes me want to scream in happiness from the top of a building. I don't even know where to begin to thank you all, but I hope you all know that just by visiting my blog and leaving me a comment, you're making my dreams come true and for that, I will always be thankful. THANK YOU!
A huge thank you also to all the brands, PR companies and affiliates I have had the pleasure of working with this year. I really look forward to working with you all in the new year.
There you have my 2014 reflection. I'm sorry if this was a bit depressing, but in 2015, I promise to be happier!
I hope 2014 treated you kinder than it did me, and I hope you all have a wonderful, happy New Year.
All My Love
Holly
