9 Things Your Child Needs To Hear You Say9 Things Your Child Needs To Hear You Say

In our race to move forward keeping pace with time we get so caught up juggling between work, home and social activities that we unknowingly ignore our family especially our kids.

Kids often bear the brunt of our hectic life. That is why it is very important to stop, sit back, enjoy and appreciate what we have called family; kids being the most important, integral and delicate part of it.

It’s important to let them know that they are your life’s most precious gift!

I and my husband always make sure that no matter how hectic or busy our day is, we always spend some quality time with our daughter.

Being parents we should always remember that our schedule is never too busy to start a healthy, affectionate and strong parent-child relationship.

These 9 bonding expressions will surely bring a smile on your kids face and bring you closer.

9 Things You Ought To Tell Your Child:

#1. I LOVE YOU:

These three magical words go a long way and can win hearts. But showing meaning through your actions is even more important.

Not a day goes by without me hugging my little princess and telling her how much I love her and in return I get to hear the same

#2. I AM SORRY:

Believe me or not, many a times kids know it when we are wrong and I think its ok. But explaining why you are sorry is important.

Saying sorry teaches children that everyone make mistakes but the important thing is to take responsibility for your action and avoid doing it next time.

#3. VERY GOOD/WELL DONE:

My daughter loves to hear this when she does something new. It gives her the sense of accomplishment and appreciation.

It is always important to keep your kid motivated to learn and do something new as this helps in their overall development.

#4. MOM AND DAD ARE THERE WITH YOU:

As parents it is very important that we develop confidence in our kids by letting them know that no matter what, their parents are always by their side against all odds. This even encourages them to explore and learn new things.

#5. LETS PLAY/DO THIS TOGETHER:

Play with your kids be it outdoor or indoor, just play or get involved in some craft.

My daughter loves to play football with her dad and go for a walk with me. It helps us bond better and is also a great stress buster.

#6. THANK YOU / WELCOME:

It’s very important to appreciate your kid’s gesture of helping you and what better way by saying Thank-you / Welcome. This also helps them learn good manners.

#7. I AM SO PROUD OF YOU:

This is one sentence I loved to hear from my parents and still do. It just makes all the efforts worth and hardships fade.

It’s vital to make our kids feel that their efforts are being noticed and that we are very proud of them for whatever good they are trying to do and achieve.

#8. THIS IS RIGHT / WRONG:

As parents it is our responsibility to tell and make our kids understand the difference between right and wrong.

Very young children do not really understand the concept of right and wrong. For them, what is “good” is what they like and what is “bad” is what they don’t like. Therefore, it is important for adults to provide controls and limits for them.

All young kids want to do the right thing and gain approval of their parents. Help them know what that is so that they feel good about themselves.

#9. TRY TO DO IT/ YOU CAN DO IT:

For kids it is very easy to get disheartened if they are unable to do something they are trying to.

As parents it is our responsibility to make sure that we encourage and motivate our kids by making them know that we have full confidence in them that they can do it if they keep trying. This approach has helped me build a lot of self confidence in my daughter and now if she takes up something she keeps trying until she has done it.

These things may seem small, but to our kids, who need to hear these things, they are huge.

Take the time to say the words.

Actions are important, but the words need to be heard too!!
