7 Easy Homemade Detox Water Recipes

As the name suggests, it is water that you drink to help detox your body i.e. flushing out fat, impurities, and toxins out of your body.

Detox water has many benefits like remove toxins from the body, reduces inflammation, aids weight loss, promotes skin health and boosts energy. Detoxification is as important as removing make-up before going to sleep every night.

You can enjoy your detox water all throughout the day. Whether you're trying to lose a few pounds or you just want to flush the toxins out of your body, hydration is the key to making this successful. So keep yourself hydrated. According to Dr. Axe- "Detox drinks help to naturally reduce inflammation, boost energy, support digestion, cleanse the liver and promote healthy skin.".

WHAT IS THE METHOD TO PREPARE DETOX WATER

For a large batch of infused water, fill a pitcher with water (of 8 to 10 glass ), mix in some chopped fruits, veggies, and /or herbs and let it sit in the fridge for 4-8 hrs (depending on how strong you want the flavor to be).

There is no one perfect way to make detox water. You can find tons of awesome recipes out there. Here I am presenting you my favorite 7 detox water recipes -

GINGER + LEMON

Ginger is quite effective as a natural pain killer and lemon provides you a clear skin, balances your PH, helps you with weight loss, aids digestion and boosts the immune system.

It is recommendable to drink this ginger lemon water first thing in the morning as it will help you flush out all the toxins in the morning.

CUCUMBER + LEMON + MINT

This mixture is the best for boosting immunity and cleaning out toxins from the system. Cucumber is anti-inflammatory and helps to keep the body hydrated and also helps in weight loss.

APPLE + CINNAMON

Take a large pitcher, filled with water (8 to 10 glass) and add thin slices of apple and cinnamon stick or powder to it. Keep this mixture in the fridge overnight.

This water will not only tastes delicious but also soothes your body and is great for shading those extra pounds because apple is a fulfilling fruit with lots of nutrients and cinnamon helps in boosts your metabolism.

WATERMELON + MINT

Watermelons are full of nutrients and are excellent for detoxing and helping the body flush out excess toxins. It contains the amino acid that helps improve liver function and get rid of ammonia, which can damage cells. A watermelon contains antioxidants, potassium, vitamin A, B6 and C and is a great source of weight loss.

Mint in this water gives it a cool and fresh taste.

PINEAPPLE + ALOE VERA

The combination of pineapple and aloe vera soothes inflammation, reduces pain and heaviness. They are an excellent remedy for constipation. The mixture of these two ingredients helps in cleansing the kidneys and also the blood. Overall, this is the best mixture for detoxifying.

ORANGE + MINT

Not only this water is tasteful, but it also has many benefits. Orange is a citrus fruit that helps you with weight loss, improving your skin, and great for minerals and vitamins. Orange provides a nice sweet and sour flavor and at the same time, mint gives water a cool and a fresh taste.

STRAWBERRIES + KIWI + MINT

You can't go wrong with this classic combination of strawberries kiwis and mint.

Kiwi is a super food and is packed with vitamin A & E. Strawberries contains anti-aging properties such as biotin which helps prevent sagging skin.
