Well, 2014 is right around the corner (unbelievable) and its time to start talking about what to look for next year in terms of the paper/stationery/signage wedding trends. Let's get into it...
1. Chalkboards
Chalkboards will continue to be big... Not only for your hipster/ironic wedding, but they are also creeping into formal weddings as well. Depending on how the board is made and how ornate the frame is, it works. Think: Menus, Seating Charts, Directional and Table Numbers...

2. Infographics/Personalization
Wedding stationery is becoming sooooo personalized now. I'm even doing a separate blog on the many ways that you can personalize your paper. With that personalization comes cute little infographics (which is how everyone reads now anyway post-Pinterest) that accomplish three things: 1.) Helps to communicate you and your partner's personality 2.) Makes whatever you are communicating fun and simpler to navigate for your guests 3.) Many times provides a nice at-a-glance reference tool.

3. MirrorsMirrors are starting to take over. Like the chalkboard revolution, it doesn't have to be a hipster element, it can go both ways... Seating charts and other little signs seem more special when written on a mirror.

4. Non-traditional guest books
Do couples even do traditional guest books any longer? Having couples take polaroids on the spot along with writing notes, signing frames or oversized laser cut initials, etc. has become all the rage. There is also signage that needs to be created to make sure guests know what to do so that the line runs smoothly. Be creative here... Control is definitely being taken in how couples would like to look back on this book.
5. Social Media Signage
Will continue to be popular... This trend is just starting to gain steam with the popularity of wedding photo-sharing apps. Like the fresh guestbook ideas, couples want in on what their guests are doing and observing at the wedding.

6. Bold/Romantic Color Palettes
I know that Pantone has announced the color of the year, but there are also other colors and color palettes I'm seeing that are equally unexpected, exotic and have me pumped for the new year... Keep on the look out for these color combos in 2014!
That's what I'm seeing out there... Let me know what else you see. I'll be back next week with my annual wedding best(s) post!
Have great weekends...
