There are some items of clothing, footwear and accessories that just become staples, creating the perfect base for you to build and experiment with. Today I’m sharing 6 of my wardrobe/fashion staples I can’t live without!
The Big Winter Coat
Although it never gets too freezing cold here in Aus, I love investing in a big coat every few years. I look for ones that look great zipped/belted up when you want to bundle up during the chilly months but also look just as good when styled open for the less cold months. I personally prefer ones that are made from a thicker, sturdier material because they really keep you warm and some of my favourites have all been purchased from Forever New. Yes, their coats are more on the pricier side but it is well worth the splurge every few years because the quality and styles are fantastic.
The Perfect Pair Of Jeans
Searching to find the ‘perfect’ pair of jeans can seem like an impossible task but I’ve done the hard work for you and have found the MOST comfortable, good looking and affordable pairs that you need to try! The ASOS ‘Sculpt Me’ Jeans come in a range of styles and washes and colours but they are some of the very best jeans you’ll ever wear. They are mid rise (no muffin tops!) and mold to your body for the perfect fit thanks to the high performance stretch. Honestly, they look like jeans but feel like leggings when you wear them, they’re just that comfy!
The Dress Up or Dress Down Tops
Instead of having a range of really casual and really dressy tops, I’ve recently started to purchase tops that are in the middle of that scale, making them perfect to wear when heading out shopping or going to dinner. Changing up how you style the top, whether it be with shorts or a pencil skirt, they always look great. One of my most recent finds is this Dotti Rib Top that not only looks great but is easy to wear.
Statement Sunnies
There’s just something striking and powerful feeling when you’re strutting down the street in a pair of statement sunglasses. Sunnies are a piece that really last well throughout the years so investing in a pair you really love makes a great addition to your wardrobe.
A Pair Of Trusty Black Shoes
Whether they’re heels, wedges or flats, a pair of black shoes that can match every outfit you could ever come up with and be one you can rely on to be comfortable is a must have staple.
The Do It All Handbag
I love purchasing handbags that can take on a number of roles – Uni Bag, Business Bag, Weekend Bag. One of my favorite handbag ranges is the Zara Office City Bags which they release new editions/designs of every year. They’re large and roomy enough for me to take to Uni and stuff with a laptop and books whilst still being appropriate to carry when browsing the stores on the weekend. They aren’t overly expensive and the quality is fabulous. I’ve owned my original for many years now and it is still in wonderful condition.
