5 Ways to Change the World
When you decided to become a dentist did you imagine that your entire workweek would consist of you running from chair to chair, only to be greeted by a mile-high pile of paperwork at the end of the day? You were made for more. And you can achieve more. Here are five ways:

  1. Free yourself. Think of all of the influences you have in your daily life. Focus on only those that empower you and allow you to gain control of your life, and thus gain freedom. Find ways to turn your burdens into accomplishments. Get help if you need to.
  2. Learn to offer complete health. Not only will this change the way you practice dentistry, but it will effect your patients and their families, and everyone you come in contact with. The truth is that you are much more than a problem fixer. You have all of the education and expertise to help people live healthy lives by helping them take care of their mouth. Remembering that your work has a deeper purpose and constantly focusing on that will give you the energy to make a difference.
  3. Focus on education. Educating your patients is paramount to empowering them to make good decisions for their health. Don’t shy away from giving them the power. Your job is to give them all the information they need and then you help them find a good solution, a solution that they choose.
  4. Empower your team. Revitalize your practice by empowering your team. Believe in them, train them how to meet your expectations and make those expectations clear, praise them when they do good work, and incentivize them when appropriate.
  5. Do what you love. Get all of the proper tools, systems, and people in place so that your practice allows you to do what you love (rather than you doing all of what you hate… like that pile of paperwork). Get out and give back to the community, spend time with your family, make a difference in people’s lives.

Your life is yours for the making. You are in a great position to have great influence and impact on your loved ones and the community at large. So, stop letting yourself get stuck behind a stack of papers and do what it takes to allow yourself to change the world.

If you are ready for that freedom, join us at the Proactive Practice in Cincinnati, OH, this September. You will be equipped with all of the tools you need to be able to do more of what you love and make a bigger difference. Call our team at 212-388-1712 to register today!
