5 Tips to Look Sexy in Denim Jeans

By Khadija Beauty @khadijabeauty3

Denim jeans are a must-have in any woman’s closet. They can be dressed up and worn casually for when you’re out running errands.

Let’s look at five ways to look amazing in denim jeans!

Wear the Right Shoes

Not saying that the entire outfit doesn’t matter, but you want to pick shoes that match the event you’re attending. Sneakers and boots are great for casual outings, such as going out for drinks with friends.

Heels and wedges, however, are great for dressing jeans up for more sophisticated events. For a bolder look, try pairing your jeans with midcalf boots.

Wear the Right Cut and Style

The finish, cut, and style of your jeans also play a role in your overall appearance. Acid wash and ripped denim jeans are common styles to wear in casual settings. They’re also great choices for edgier fashions.

In a more professional setting, you can wear straight-cut, black jeans paired with a short heel or loafer. Jeans paired with blazers create a comfortable business-casual look, which is great for meeting up with coworkers.

As a general rule, the simpler the style, the more professional the jeans can look. The bedazzled low-rise jeans might be making a comeback, but think of the event before leaving the house!

The Pant Leg Length Matters!

The most common pant lengths are ankle and calf lengths. Calf-length jeans are best saved for more casual outfits but can definitely be dressed up with a nice dress shirt or jacket.

Straight leg, boot-cut, and skinny jeans are most often worn at full-length. But consider cuffed your jeans for a more playful look, especially with straight-cut and skinny jeans.

Pick a Fit that Flatters Your Body

Nothing is sexier than wearing clothes that fit and flatter your natural body. Many women opt out of wearing jeans because of how unflattering they make them feel but trust me; you just need to find the brand and cut.

A far too common struggle in buying clothing is that women’s clothing sizes aren’t regular. Sizes change depending on the brands you purchase from! So, the first step to finding your fit is finding the right brand.

Wholesale jeans for women, if possible, are best avoided simply because they are designed more on a one size fits all basis. So, take a moment to figure out what type of body shape you have before purchasing a pair of jeans.

Finding your fit comes from focusing on two factors: leg style and the rise of the jeans. So, if you have more curves, you might consider staying away from high-rise and flared jeans. Likewise, if you’re flatter in different areas, low-rise and skinny-cut jeans might not be the way to go.

But at the end of the day, find the brand of jeans that make you feel good in them! Pay attention to the material and quality of the denim, too.

Avoid Low-Quality Denim

Another reason to avoid women’s whole jeans is that they often are not good quality denim. Part of the appeal of jeans is how long-lasting the material can be with the proper care.

Investing in good quality jeans saves you from the embarrassment of your jeans ripping in the middle of brunch.
