Tips for The Perfect Bubble Bath:

1) Start Off on the Right Foot

In order to create a bath that will be beneficial for both your body and mind, you'll want to start off on the right foot! We know that the last thing you want to do before taking a bath is to clean the bathroom, but trying to relax is especially difficult in a messy setting. You don't have to worry about a deep clean - just a few quick adjustments to keep your mind off of it while you relax. So, toss the kids' toys under the sink, wipe off that grimy ring around the bathtub and set aside some freshly washed towels to use later. See, that's much better, isn't it?

2) Be Prepared

Bubble baths can be fulfilling in dozens of ways, so be sure to think about what you want to accomplish with your bath. Do you have sore muscles? Has your skin been really dry lately? Or do you simply just need some peace and quiet? Once you've determined how your bath is going to help you, you can make decisions on what kind of scents or products to use.

Few things are worse than when you ease yourself into a relaxing bath only to realize you forgot your book or glass of wine. To avoid that, set a small stool next to the tub or invest in a bath tray to keep all your goodies within arm's reach. To help you out, we created a list of items to have ready so you can have the ultimate bath experience:

  • Catch up on a book you've been trying to finish or start up a new Netflix binge.
  • A clean, dry towel or two
  • A soft robe or cozy pajamas
  • Headphones or earplugs
  • Something to drink AND a glass of water. Whether it's your favorite red blend or a can of whatever lager you had in the back of the fridge, definitely have a cool glass of water to pair with it. Between the steamy heat and the body detoxification, you're bound to get a little dehydrated. We want you to relax but we also want you to stay safe!
  • Bath pillow or rolled-up towel for neck support
  • Washcloth, loofa, or a body brush
  • Snacks! We promise not to judge you for eating in the bath. Whip yourself up some chocolate-covered strawberries, a platter of cheese cubes, grapes, almonds, or even a bowl of ice cream if that's what you're craving!
  • A small towel to dry your hands if you need to use them for your book, phone, or tablet
  • Gather your beauty products ... bath bomb, hair mask, nail polish, Epsom salts, essentials oils ... whatever you think you'll need to accomplish a successfully beautifying bath!
  • One word ... BUBBLES!

3) Ambiance

We understand that maybe your bathroom can't exactly look like a perfectly pristine spa or what you're used to in pictures and movies. If you're like most of us, you're kicking rubber duckies out of the way and getting tangled up in a dinosaur-themed shower curtain while the entire household impatiently waits for you on the other side of the bathroom door. But fake it 'til you make it, right?! So, press " ▶️" on your favorite playlist, light some candles and don't stress about perfection too much.

On those days when you have a little more time to prepare, get fancy! Are the kids going to grandma's this weekend? Can the dishes wait another hour or two? Take advantage of the opportunity! There is absolutely no harm in adding some luxury to your bath experience. Toss in some rose petals or pick out your favorite essential oil and add a few drops to the bathwater.

4) Self Care

One of the best parts about taking a bath is getting a few minutes to really focus on taking care of yourself. Not only are you finally in the right setting to relax your muscles and your mind, but there are dozens of ways to treat your exterior soak in the tub.

A body scrub is a great tool to use when you need to exfoliate itchy, dead skin cells. Comb in a hydrating hair mask or slather on some silky face cream. Bath bombs are an amazing way to introduce some very lovely smells into the air while detoxifying your skin! Feel revitalized with our zingy Lemon Drop Bath Bomb or have some fruity fun with our Watermelon Blast Bath Bomb. Regardless of the product you go with, you'll soon feel like a million bucks after giving yourself a homemade spa day!

It's important to remember that if you can take care of yourself, you can take care of others more efficiently. When you feel your best, the rest of your world follows suit. So, don't feel bad about taking some time to yourself because the true benefit lies within what you can get accomplished when you feel like a true goddess!

5) Grand Finale

So, you had an epic bubble bath. You lit candles, you had snacks, you made your skin glow ... now what? First thing first: don't dry off yet because you need to moisturize! Moisturizers and Body Butters are more effective when your skin is still wet. It allows the nourishing properties of the moisturizer to absorb quickly and stay locked in.

Once your skin is silky smooth and you're wrapped up in your comfy robe, the world is your oyster! Cozy up on the couch and watch cartoons with the kids, make a refreshing smoothie, or bake some cookies, take a nap ... whatever makes you happy so you can keep all those good bath vibes going for the day.
