The majority of the fruits and veggies you buy can easily be stored in your fridge.

Separate Your Fruits and Veggies

But – keep your veggies and fruits in separate drawers. Gases from ripening fruit (especially apples, pears, and bananas) can make other produce ripen and spoil even faster.

On Your Kitchen Counter

Fresh basil, tomatoes, avocados, grapes, and bananas will be fine left on your kitchen counter.

Stonefruit (peaches, apricots, and plums) will be fine on the counter too, but once they ripen put them in the fridge.
