Hello Gorgeous! Blackheads are the absolute worst–trust me I know. I must admit I do get blackheads from time to time and it’s so frustrating. We all know that there is not one miracle product that removes them permanently however there are some things we can all do to discourage them. I’m sharing some at home tips that are great for treating blackheads.
Step 1. Unclog your pores. Whether you remove blackheads yourself or have a professional facial, manual extraction is a must. For do-it-yourself extractions, it’s best to remove blackheads after a shower since your skin’s temperature is higher than usual.
Step 2. Apply a thin coat of the heaviest moisturizer you have to your skin after your shower. The rich moisturizer creates a temporary seal to keep the heat trapped in the skin which is necessary for extraction. Next cover the area with plastic wrap and apply warm, damp towels on top for five minutes.
Step 3. Remove the plastic wrap tissue over each forefinger before gently squeezing to remove blackheads. To avoid creating squeeze marks, go easy and be sure to relocate the position of your fingers often.
Step 4. Once your pores are clean, it’s important to incorporate products into your routine that use acids. Skin care products with acids, include cleansers with beta hydroxys such as salicylic acid, serums, and at home pore cleansing peels are great investments.
Step 5. Lastly you want to prevent oil from oxidizing.
Gorgeous, how do you get rid of blackheads? What products do you use?
Stay Gorgeous!
