A story of faith, of hope, in spite of terrible persecution. The final victory. Ms Dean tells a story with characters I grew to be concerned for. She draws not only on the familiar verses from Revelation and Daniel, but from the Gospel of St.Matthew, Genesis, and images from Ezekiel, as well as the riches of Catholic traditions, the writings of saints and scholars. The awesome beauty of the final victory moved me to tears. I highly recommend this book, as well as her first The Jeweler's Polish.
