5 Reasons We’re Excited to See Dear Rouge at WayHome 2015

Dear Rouge, the alternative/dance rock duo out of Vancouver will be playing the WayAway Stage on Saturday at 5:15 and you can be sure we’ll be there to watch. With the release of the full schedule we’re able to plan out our day and so can you.

The duo made up of Drew and Danielle McTaggart, yes they’re married, released their first full album, Black to Gold in early 2015. The title track has charted at #2 and we’re excited to see this band perform live.

First Time Factor

There’s something about the first time, yes we’ve said it before and we’re saying it again. This will be the first time we see Dear Rouge live and we’ve been watching live YouTube clips and can’t wait to be standing at the front of the stage ourselves.

We missed them when they were here in Toronto for CMW and when they played the Opera House in May. We don’t want to miss them again.

Danielle McTaggart

Have you seen their videos? She’s gorgeous! We’re excited to have the opportunity to take photos of her. We can hardly wait to see what she’s wearing. We want to see her hair and make up. And footwear… what will she be wearing?

And of course she’s not just a pretty face,  we want to hear her amazing voice live!

Drew McTaggart

We couldn’t leave out Drew! We’ll be watching for his handsome presence and mad guitar skills. We’ll also be looking for how Drew and Danielle play off each other on stage. We’ve heard great things.

And of course we’ll be checking out what Drew is wearing too! Boots, sneakers, something else? Jacket, no jacket? We want to know!

We can’t wait to hear this track live. The up beat is perfect for a late afternoon festival crowd. The synthy catchy sound. The chorus…

There’s movement in the stillness

We expect people to be dancing and singing along.

You know how we feel about home grown talent. The WayHome line up is stacked with Canadians and we’re pretty happy that Vancouver’s Dear Rouge is among them. As winners of the Peak Performance Project in 2012, the largest artist development project in Canada, Dear Rouge is helping to put the CanCon into WayHome Festival.
