1. He's Back for the 4th Time
We've seen Dallas Smith perform at Boots & Hearts in 2012, 2014, and 2015 - and now he's coming back in 2018 to show the B&H fans some love for the fourth time.
The last time Smith was at Boots & Hearts he played a 19-song set that had everyone in good spirits. But that was before the Side Effects album was released. That was before he started his run of four straight #1s. And that means he's got a whole lot of material to bring to the stage that Boots & Hearts hasn't seen and heard before.
We've talked to Dallas about big festivals in hangouts over the last few years, and we know that he's going to be pumped up for 2018 at Burl's Creek Event Grounds in Oro-Medonte, ON.
2. The Energy & Enthusiasm
If you've ever seen Dallas Smith play live, you know exactly what we're talking about here. And if you haven't, you soon will.
Dallas holds nothing back when he performs. He owns the stage and knows that the people in the crowd are ready to give back to him every single bit of energy he puts out. And when we've seen him slip into some r'n'r, whether it's a cover like Imagine Dragons' Radioactive or songs like Count On Me and Wasting My Time from the Default days, he does it right.

Dallas Smith is a Canadian country music chart mainstay. His first 18 singles (including the recent duet with Canadian Country Music Hall of Famer Terri Clark, One Drink Ago) have all landed in the Top 10. And if that weren't enough, five of those songs ( Wastin' Gas, Autograph, Side Effects, Sky Stays This Blue, and Sleepin' Around) all made their way to #1!
We know that Dallas can't play every Top 10 single and our favourite album cuts in one set at Boots & Hearts, but we also know that his catalogue of music is so strong that we really can't disappoint us with the songs he does decide to sing.
5. The Special Moments
Live music is about moments. There are going to be moments throughout the 2018 Boots & Hearts weekend that turn into memories that fans remember for a long, long time. And when Dallas Smith takes the main stage for his set on Friday night, we'll be ready for a special moment or two.
Whether that moment is a crowd of 40,000+ country music fans singing along to their favourite songs, or it's a special guest appearance by another Boots & Hearts performer - or it's Smith himself acting as a special guest during Florida Georgia Line's headlining set (we would love to hear Dallas help the FGL boys sing Up Down on Friday night) we know that something is going to happen.
