This is the second “5 Quick Questions” mini-interview post here at Sofia’s Change of Pace. Today, Wenona Hulsey is answering my questions. Thank you, Wenona!5 Quick Questions With Wenona Hulsey

Author Wenona Hulsey spends her time scaling roof tops, kicking bad guy tail and rescuing small kittens from tree tops.  But during the time when she isn’t asleep, she’s a mother of two beautiful children and fiancé to the man of her dreams.  She lives vicariously through great books and creates magical worlds in her spare time.  She is also an avid social networker, who loves to meet new people.  Let’s get to her answers!
What inspires you to Write, Wenona?Wow, so many things! The exciting and sometimes sad feeling of loss I feel when I finish a good book, songs like Adele's "Set Fire To the Rain", that I will listen to on repeat for hours while I write, and at times, it's as simple as watching my family goof off with one another, laughing and joking. All these moments drive me at some point in my writing, giving me the fuel to create.Do you have any advice for aspiring novelists? My advice to aspiring novelist is find a group of people who support you and talk to them. Be it a family member, close friend or a writer's group-just find someone who understands what your going through. You will have moments when you think about giving up or just doubt in your ability to write something great, that's when you need that group of people to talk to. We all need someone to tell us to hang in there or to say, "Get off Facebook and write you slacker!".Who, living or dead, real or fictional, would you like to meet and pick their brains for ideas? I would love to pick Edger Allen Poe's mind. No, that's not a sign that the zombie apocalypse is here and I'm joining the side of the undead. I'm just saying that he had a gift for creating a major creep factor in his work that I would love to have. I know I don't write horror but I do love to read it at times and who knows, maybe one day I'll try my hand at that genre too. Sky's the limit, right? What are you working on now? I'm currently working on book two in the Nicole Keenan series titled Blood of Fire. I'm hoping to have this one out around the first of the year.Last question, Wenona. When did you know you wanted to write more than postcards and letters? It was actually almost a year ago when I sat down and wrote the first words of my novel, Burden of Blood. I had hit a dry spell in my reading so to speak. I was devouring five and six books a week but most of them left me disappointed. I made the remark to a friend about how I would have written a certain book differently and that's when the writing bug took over for me. Now, here I am a year down the road and I have a short story- Blood Awakening, a full length novel- Burden of Blood, and I'm currently working on the follow up novel to my first one titled Blood of Fire. I don't see me stopping any time soon.  You can friend Wenona on Twitter http://twitter.com/#!/WenonaHulsey, like her on Facebook http://www.facebook.com/WenonaHulseyAuthor or follow along on her Blog http://wenonahulsey.blogspot.com/.You can find her books here:Blood Awakening LinksAmazon (USA)http://www.amazon.com/Awakening-Paranormal-Romance-Fantasy-ebook/dp/B005BQY68A/ref=ntt_at_ep_dpt_1Amazon (UK)http://www.amazon.co.uk/Awakening-Paranormal-Romance-Fantasy-ebook/dp/B005BQY68A/ref=sr_1_2?s=digital-text&ie=UTF8&qid=1315526309&sr=1-2 Barns & Noblehttp://search.barnesandnoble.com/Blood-Awakening/Wenona-Hulsey/e/2940012857309 Smashwordshttp://www.smashwords.com/books/view/71994 Apple Ituneshttp://itunes.apple.com/us/book/blood-awakening-paranormal/id452782217?mt=11
