Maybe you have a quick essay to write, or maybe you had a really late night out. Either way, cooking for yourself is the best option!

Here are 5 quick and easy recipes that require minimal cooking facilities.

This is the classic college meal that everyone knows about, and it's pretty cheap to make too. If you can't afford a lot of expensive veggies to go with these noodles, then just use Ramen noodles alone! The powdered flavor packets are full of sodium, but that's crucial for providing taste. Just cut them with water and the noodles will plump up nicely. This is a very quick and easy meal.

Sandwiches are really easy to make, but they can get boring pretty quickly. One great way to perk up your sandwiches is with soup on the side. You can buy canned soups or you can just heat up a cup of water and dump in some bouillon. It's quick and cheap and it makes for a nice and easy lunch that will fill you up. It's perfect for a winter day when the weather is cold and wet outside, and you don't want to go anywhere near campus.

No heat pasta salad is one of the easiest college meals to make in your dorm room. You can make this up in advance and keep it stored in a cooler. It'll last all week, and you can always add to the mixture as time goes by to ensure that there is enough food for everyone. All you have to do is boil some noodles, add a little salt and pepper, add any veggies that you want (beans are great), and then drizzle on some olive oil and apple cider vinegar. Mix it up, put it in a container, and you're ready to go!

You can buy all the ingredients for mini pizzas really cheaply at the grocery store, or you can even get them at Walmart if they are open 24/7. Get a pack of English muffins, add tomato sauce or barbecue sauce, and then drop some cheese on top. Put it in the oven for 15 minutes at 350 degrees Fahrenheit and you have mini pizzas that are perfect for snacking!

Fried rice is one of the most simple and easy college meals that you can make. Start by heating up a pan and adding some oil, and then add chopped veggies and stir-fry them for a few minutes. Then add your rice and make it as brown as possible (this adds flavor). Season with soy sauce, salt, black pepper, and anything else that you think might taste good. And there you have it!
