It’s hot outside, the world is basically falling apart around us, mercury is in retrograde (or whatever) and I only had a Cup of Noodles for dinner last night. So, basically, it’s been a shitty couple of days. With that in mind, why don’t we celebrate cuteness in all it’s fantastic forms. Dear readers, I present to you the list-sting you never knew you wanted: Indie band boys with their adorable dogs (mostly). Get ready to say “aww.”

1. Conor Oberst and Shatzi

Shatzi is there to lessen the ultimate sadness you feel inside whenever you listen to “Lime Tree”. Plus, how can you resist either of their puppy eyes?

2. Zach Condon and his Beagle

A beagle just seems like it’s the only proper dog for Zach Condon’s vagabond lifestyle. Can’t you imagine them roaming the streets of some little European town, playing the accordion and smoking cigarettes? Yes, I mean both of them.

3. Julian Casablancas and Voltron

Yes, Julian Casablancas named his dog Voltron. Did your head just explode?

4. Mike Hadreas of Perfume Genius

Mike Hadreas made a music video with his mother and her tiny dogs…and a terrifying stalker with teleportation abilities. What’s more adorable than that?

6. Nathan Williams of Wavves and Snacks

Technically speaking, Snacks belongs to Bethany Cosentino of Best Coast, and technically Snacks is a cat. However, Snacks is a cat with it’s own twitter and tumblr and has appeared on the cover of two albums. At this point, it’s fair to say that Snacks is more famous than both Wavves and Best Coast, and if we’re being honest here, that’s a world I’m comfortable living in.
