This chart was made from a recent Gallup Poll -- done between July 13th and 17th of a random national sample of 1,023 adults, with a margin of error of 5 points.
It shows the percentage of Americans willing to admit that they have used marijuana, and the percentage who say they currently use it. About 13% say they currently use marijuana, and 43% say they have used it at some point in their lives. Personally, I think the real numbers are a little higher, especially among those who say they currently use marijuana. After all, the recreational use of marijuana is still illegal in most states.
