2. Experience The Wildlife At Dalma Wildlife Sanctuary

Dalma Wildlife Sanctuary is the kingdom of giant Indian Elephants. Sporting an elephant in Dalma is not something rare. It is the first sanctuary in India to permit on a foot safari. Dalma was established on 19th Dec 1976 and was inaugurated by Sanjay Gandhi, the former Indian Politician of the Indian National Congress. Every year, the city celebrates the birth anniversary of Sir Jamshetji Nusserwanji Tata, the founder of Jamshedpur on the 3rd March. The entire city gets dolled up on this day. Jubilee Park is beautifully decorated with bright and colorful lights. Some of the illuminations show stories related to JRD Tata and Jamshedpur. People from the nearby cities of West Bengal, Orissa, and Bihar visit the city to witness the celebration. The decorations are retained for 4 days from 2nd March to 5th March for public viewing.

A carnival is arranged by the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISCKON) with various social organisations in Jamshedpur every year on the day of Jagannath Rath Yatra. The yatra starts from Bistupur Ram Mandir and ends in the Dhalbhum club, Sakchi.

Thousands of devotees gather in the Bistupur main road to witness the greatest carnival of the city. The three raths of Lord Jagannath, Lord Balarama and Goddess Subhadra, is followed by Bhajnas, kirtans, dance performances, people dressed in different colourful costumes, hari lut, Kichdi distributions and much more.

Ambagudi is famous for Payatkar paintings, a painting form in which craftsmen paint on scrolls made from leaves and barks of trees applying vermilion and natural colours with needles or hair of goats. It is also famous for Dhokra crafts, a non-ferrous metal casting using the lost-wax casting technique. Tusu is the harvest festival celebrated by the tribal people in the month of January. Tusu Mahotsav, a colorful event is organized by the Jharkhand Sanskritik Kala Kendra, a social organization at Domuhani every year. Tribal people gather together on the day to worship goddess Tusu to thank her for the harvest. A fair is also organized at the bank of the river to portray the tradition of Jharkhand.

Jamshedpur Coin museum is one of the best museums in the state. It was opened to the public on the 29th of March in the year 2009. Built by Tata Steel Ltd, the design of the museum building is inspired by Ancient and Roman Architecture.
