Sleep is necessary for all humans’ survival. It refreshes you and gives you the energy to get through all your daily tasks. Not being able to sleep is one of the worst feelings possible. Keep these tips in mind if you are struggling to rest at night.
Decrease Stress
Stress can keep you awake even when you are exhausted. While not all sleep problems are caused by excessive stress, the two can be linked. Exercise

You can go to the gym, lift weights and run if you have the time and resources, but even just going for an evening walk can increase your chances of a good night’s sleep.
Reduce Screen Time
The light that the screens on your phone, computer and TV emit can keep you awake. Try not to use these devices for an hour before bedtime. If you must use your phone, change the settings to make the screen darker and to change its color. Additionally, watching TV, answering work emails or checking social media can wake up your mind. Try to keep your pre-bedtime activities calm by doing things like talking to your family or reading a book.
Since every person’s body is different, so is their sleep cycle. Keep these tips in mind and don’t be afraid to make a lifestyle change if you need help settling down for the night.
