You have written a post and published it to your blog and you are becoming disheartened that you are struggling to get more than 100 page views each day, just where is everyone? To get results you must be prepared to put in some hard work.
By dedicating just 2 hours each day to your blog you can and will double your page views. This method can and should be used by every blogger of every stage of blog, whether you are new to blogging or an old hand.
Step 1 – Write Killer Posts
It goes without saying if you have nothing to say, then don’t say it or don’t write it as the case maybe. Your readers want to come and find thought provoking, helpful and inspirational posts. Those searching Google want their questions answered. If you are able to answer the questions then you will always have readers. Spend time on your post, read it back to yourself and then edit it.
I often stop at this point and make a cuppa, then come back to it with fresh new eyes. I read it again and then edit it again. Writing killer posts is one of the most important aspects in creating a successful blog.
You should dedicate 60 minutes to to this task.
Step 2 – Network & Socialise
You need to go out and find potential readers, you can not expect them to find you. There are many ways you can do this but I will stick to the ones I personally do. I find the most rewarding approach to networking is to make friends , not self promote your blog.
- Comment on other blogs
- Get involved on Twitter and make some blogging friends
- Retweet other bloggers
- Interact with your friends/fans on Facebook
- Join a blogging forum and find other bloggers
You should dedicate 30 minutes each day to this step
Step 3 – Promote Your Post
You have wrote a killer article and you have been onto Twitter and blogging forum and now what? You need to promote your post.
Here are a few ways I personally promote my own blog;
- Share the link with my Twitter followers
- Share the link with LinkedIn
- Share the link to my Facebook
- Provide social sharing buttons at the bottom of the post
- Spend time researching the correct keywords and ensuring I am giving the post the best search engine results possible.
You should dedicate 30 minutes to this step
