3 Mistakes Should Be Avoided in Small Business by Entrepreneur

Posted on the 13 August 2011 by Mihir23192 @mihir23192

Many times when I sit alone I always think and visualize my own future business with some practical aspects. I always try to find out the ways how I can influence my employees, customers or even stake holders. So, yesterday, I was alone and I was thinking about some mistakes should not be taken place in your business otherwise these will literally stop your growth and you will never find the reasons !

I have analyzed many business of models of my friends or family friends and I found great scope of expansion but there was some obstacles which I am pointing below. Another thing I decided is, I will not make this mistakes which will stop me where I am !!

(X) 1. Don’t be Personal With Employees !

When you help your employee in their personal problem, you may feel good and your employee also thank you for it. When interact with your employee you might share your personal information. There no problem regarding your share of information, but when you interact very friendly with your employee they see you as a friend, and they decide your personality limit. In this case, If you have not stunning personality, If your employees are not highly influenced by you then in that case this behavior may adversely affect you ! Slowly and Gradually your order might get ignored and it will convert into frustration. Sometime you will not be in position to fire that employee as he might be a significant part of your business. So, I personally believe to maintain some limits between you and your employee. This doesn’t means that you should not hear them.

When I was in one online venture. I was having 3 distant employees from different part of the countries, on the Monday I used to organize online meeting using Skype with all of them try to solve their problem and used to hear opinion how we can make more money !

(X) 2. Don’t Stay Busy with Micro managing !

Second thing which I highly prefer is Macro managing rather than wasting time in micro-managing. In very old day, I used to believe that, I should hire less trained or unskilled employees, I will teach then about my work and they will work for me for less money and actually they are working for me for less money but problem was, I was too busy and focused on their work and ratifying their mistake, Simply speaking I wasted my time very badly in training and correcting them

:(
. So now I prefer to hire skilled people, you can give them good money for the work and no issue after that.
One more advantage of the same is, When yo hire smart people, they can give you some useful suggestions and advice because they are experienced persons. Further, when you hire them, substantially your time is saved and in that time you can be more productive. This thing you will realize when you will pass through both the positions !!

(X) 3. Never do business for money, But shut down your business If you are not getting money !!

You may think that, What’s the silly topic is this ? isn’t it? Here I am talking about objective of your business. Suppose you are providing services to customers, then your objective should be “how you can serve a customer best ?” and not “how you can get good money from him ?” . Always stay focused on giving value and don’t bother for money ! And for another statement, If you are not getting money, it means you are not good at your services, there are no such business who is giving value for that money and they are not growing. Remember, There are no competition for more qualitative product !. If you are good enough then you will grow without fail !

:)

So, this is all I wanted to tell you ! Just one thing remained is that, If you know, You are not doing anything bad in your business, then you will surely grow, Just believe in yourself. I am telling this from my experience.
