It’s been a full, good weekend.
Hank is home so that means making design progress on the house. We also go to dedicate all three kiddos at Church on Sunday.
Day 7: I am thankful for our Church Family
Living in Nashville, where almost everyone is from somewhere else, your friends really become your family. This has been especially true for us. The people in our bible study are the ones that you can call at 3am, when you get a flat tire, when you need a ride to the airport, when you need someone last minute to watch your children overnight, when you need to vent frustrations, cry to when you need empathy. They are also the people who love us enough to tell it to us straight…there is no BS, and honesty is at the forefront of our relationships. This isn’t a place where we go to hear what we want to hear, but where we know that we will hear the truth, and what we need to hear, always founded on love.Day 8: I am thankful that Hank enjoys {and is amazing at} the remodel process
He is involved in every single detail of our home. From the hinges on the doors to the layout of our new Master Bath. He is thinking, re-thinking, designing, sketching, and coordinating every last inch. I couldn’t imagine going through this process with someone who didn’t care about the details or who was really bad at design! I know it is going to turn out beautifully, and he’s to thank.
Day 9: I am thankful for affordable Organic clothes!
Organic everything (or as much as possible) is really important to me. Why is organic clothing important? 1. a lot of cotton is GMO 2. cotton contains a lot of pesticides 3. I prefer to support sustainable, healthy agriculture.
However, we flat out can’t afford to buy all organic clothing, so I get giddy when we find pieces that don’t cost and arm and a leg. We just found these adorable onesies for Etta, and sweats for her and Miles at H&M – 3 for $12! Miles actually wears these during the day (he far prefers to be in a diaper only 100% of the time) but since it is getting cooler, and we are stingy with the heat, these fit the bill perfectly.
live well. be well.
