The Country Megaticket is returning to Toronto's Budweiser Stage in 2019!
This summer's official announcement was made on Tuesday night at Jasper Dandy on Queen Street East.
With four massive country shows on the schedule at Budweiser Stage this year, there's a lot for fans to be excited about. And with five ticket options available ( Platinum, Gold, Silver, Copper, Bronze) for the slate of concerts, those same fans will have options when it comes to their viewing experiences.
The Tuesday night announcement doubled as a chance for some lucky local country music fans to see Canadian stars, Dean Brody and Dallas Smith play a joint acoustic set on stage. And to say that they were excited about that opportunity, and the stripped-down live show would be an understatement.
The two singers took turns singing for the attentive audience, playing huge hits and fan favourites including Smith's Wasting Gas, Side Effects, and Tipping Point as well as Brody's Time, Dose Of Country, and Canadian Girls. From the front of the room to the back, the energy was at a high throughout the short show, with phones in the air capturing the moments for social media and personal collections.
On stage, between songs, Dean and Dallas took turns complimenting each other, telling the crowd how excited they are to play together at Budweiser Stage this September and cracking jokes. It was great to see the mutual admiration these talented dudes have for each other and a reminder that the Canadian country music community is a family.
The Country Megaticket show that the dup with co-headline is the last in the list of four included concerts in 2019, and will definitely be worth the wait.
The action kicks off in July when Thomas Rhett brings his Very Hot Summer Tour to Toronto. The country superstar puts on an amazing live show, and we have no doubt that he'll have the crowd dancing in the pit, in their seats, and all the way up on the lawn. And with Dustin Lynch, Russell Dickerson, and his daddy, Rhett Akins along for the ride, this is a show that will rock from start to finish.
Eight weeks later, the action picks back up again with a run of three concerts in the span of 17 days!
Luke Bryan rolls into T.O. with the Sunset Repeat Tour on September 5 with Jon Langston. 22 times in his career, Bryan has hit #1 on the US Hot Country and US Country Airplay charts. He's played for hundreds of thousands of fans, and he's still got it. Country lovers will be ready to watch him swivel his hips and sing his hits all night long.
A week later, award-winning, hit-making, crowd-pleasing trio Rascal Flatts hit the stage by the lake. We don't yet know who is coming to play with them, but these guys have some major pull, and we expect some extra special, special guests. Gary, Jay, and Joe Don are all over the Megaticket schedule this year, but we are pretty sure the Toronto crowd will be the loudest when they start playing their cover of Tom Cochrane's Life Is A Highway.

Finally, on Saturday, September 21st, Dean Brody and Dallas Smith (with surprise special guests) will hit the Budweiser Stage together in the most Canadian country concert the city will see this fall.
This year is the third in a row that Dean Brody will play the amphitheatre, and if it's anything like the first two shows, everyone is going to have a good time. Those previous shows have included a list of opening acts and special guests that includes Tim Hicks, Madeline Merlo, Jess Mosklake, Alan Doyle, Charlie Major, Carly Pearce, Shevy Price, Michael Ray, Dallas Arcand, and his 2019 co-headliner, Dallas Smith.

The surprises have always been held tightly under wraps. But if you were to ask us for some guesses right now (without knowing anyone else's specific availability), we'd lay down names like Andrew Hyatt, Jessica Mitchell, Shawn Austin, Jojo Mason, and Sons Of Daughters.
