2014 Vote Fraud: Mayor Urges Louisiana Democrats to Vote Twice

By Eowyn @DrEowyn

B.Christopher Agee reports for Western Journalism, Dec. 1, 2014, that the Black Conservatives Fund obtained a video (see above) of Don Cravins Sr. — the Democrat mayor of Opelousas, Louisiana, and the father of the chief of staff of Sen. Mary Landrieu (D-Louisiana) — brazenly urging fellow Democrats to commit voter fraud by voting twice.

Opelousas is a city in and the parish seat of St. Landry Parish, Louisiana, located at the junction of Interstate 49 and U.S. Route 190.

Donald Cravins Sr.

Cravins made the speech on November 3, 2014, the day before the midterm elections. His son, Don Cravins Jr., who serves as Landrieu’s highest ranking staffer, was present at the event where his father instructed fellow Democrats to “go out tomorrow and vote” for a particular ballot initiative. And “If you early voted, go vote again tomorrow.

The Democrat crowd responded with some sporadic laughter, however, Cravins continued his endorsement of voter fraud with little evidence that he intended his comments as a joke. “One more time’s not going to hurt,” he insisted. “Tomorrow, we’re gonna elect Earl Taylor as the D.A., so he won’t prosecute you if you vote twice.”

State Sen. Elbert Guillory

State Sen. Elbert Guillory – look at the goodness & strength in his eyes!

Louisiana State Sen. Elbert Guillory — a good man — presented the video footage, explaining that even though Mayor Cravins “may not be a household name in most of America,” he is assuredly “part of the Louisiana Democrat establishment.”

See: “Black senator: Why I’m no longer a Democrat” and “Elbert Guillory: Mary Landrieu is not helping Blacks.”

Thankfully, as Guillory reminds us, despite Mayor Cravins’ encouraging of voter fraud, Louisiana has two safeguards – a Republican administration and voter identification laws – with which the state can combat attempts to subvert the will of voters.
