The NCLR ALMA Awards is not only a night to celebrate the honorees, but to emphasize the need to continue to change current media perceptions and representations of Hispanic Americans. It is a night to say thank you to artists from the past and present like Eva Longoria, George Lopez, Jennifer Lopez, Benjamin Bratt, Lupe Ontiveros, and countless other influential Latinos in America who have broken barriers for generations to come.”
