Edgy, melodic brilliance from Idlewild, released 20 years ago this week back in January 1999, reaching number 19 in the UK singles chart. This bolder remixed single version of the track certainly seems to have some extra zip, and fully realises the song's potential as an indie punk classic. The original version can be found on the Scottish band's debut full-length album 'Hope Is Important', which was released back in 1998.
Two decades later, and Idlewild have released seven albums to date. In 2010, the band entered an indefinite hiatus, but reunited in late 2013 to record their 2015 album 'Everything Ever Written'.
