1st Masterclass, Italy, July 2012

Castiglione della Pescaia, a small town somewhere in Tuscany, will host the Summer masterclasses of Georg Solti Accademia between June 24 - July 15, 2012. Masterclasses will be held by Angela Gheorghiu who has accepted our invitation to take timeout of her busy international schedule to come to Castiglione della Pescaia to talk to the students about her career and the techniques of bel canto singing, Richard Bonynge and Dennis O’Neill.
Study program for the 12 participants in the singing session: arias and ensembles from the Bel Canto Repertoire, with particular attention to the operas of Donizetti, Rossini, Bellini and Verdi.
