16 Weeks, and Some Randomness

By Lindsayleighbentley @lindsayLbentley

Well, today marks 16 weeks of pregnancy.

I feel wonderful and am so grateful for being up and around feeling well.  I slacked off on my B vitamins for almost a week and started feeling just a wee-bit nauseous…good to know they are working, right?

16 weeks, and some randomness

It just donned on me that we get to find out the sex of the baby soon – it’s going by so fast I can hardly believe it.

It also just occurred to me that, even if we have another boy, we will need new clothes for him, considering this will be our first non-winter baby.

I feel so unprepared, yet completely relaxed.

I mean, really, all babies need is nourishment, a safe place to sleep, and love.

That much we are prepared for.

Hank and I were watching a movie the other night and he suddenly looked at me and asked “Do you feel like we are having another baby?”

“No” I said “I don’t.  Not at all.  You?”

“Nope.”

So anyway, we are blissfully unconcerned, slightly unprepared, but very excited.

On a random note.  A friend babysat for me this morning for 2 1/2 hrs so that I could go run errands all by myself.

Ahhh bliss…

For you Mamas whose husbands travel a lot, you understand how amazing this is.

I was so excited I actually left my returns in the garage and had to come back for them.  Despite my forgetfulness I couldn’t believe how much I was able to get done in that amount of time all by myself.

It is always good coming home though.  My boys are so sweet, and their excitement at seeing me even after only a short separation warms my heart.  I know that adding another little into the mix will just multiply the sweetness.

Oh, and on another random note, my husband got to play Madison Square Garden last night – I think I was more excited about it that he was actually.  I’m just so proud of how much he has accomplished.  He has worked so hard, been faithful and diligent, and he is being rewarded for it.

thanks to my friend Kendra for this amazing shot of the Theater before the show.

Later I plan on making my own soaked bread for the first time.  We aren’t big bread eaters, but lately, Henry and I have been wanting toast with my homemade grass-fed butter, so I’ll be attempting this recipe from Kelly The Kitchen Kop.

Alright, time for naps, me included. Praise Him.

live well. be well.
