Tragedy struck the streets of Islington last night as two lives were cut short in a violent stabbing. At 11:30pm, police and paramedics rushed to Elthorne Road where they discovered a 15-year-old boy and a 23-year-old man suffering from stab wounds.
Despite their best efforts, the teenager was pronounced dead at the scene shortly after midnight. The second victim was taken for treatment to a west London hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.
Officers have since informed the next of kin of those killed and are offering them their sincere condolences during this difficult time. There was also another victim at an address in N19 who had suffered a stab wound, believed to be aged 28. His condition is not thought to be life threatening.

In response, police have strengthened their presence in the area and authorised additional stop and search powers under a Section 60 Order.
According to Chief Superintendent Andy Carter, “My thoughts are with the families of the two victims who have suffered such an unimaginable loss in this shocking and unacceptable incident. We must now work together to identify those responsible and remove them from our streets.”
Cops say a large number of people were in the street at the time of the attack and are urging any witnesses to come forward. No arrests so far have been made related to the incident, and authorities are looking for more information to help with the investigation.
