116 Rallies Across America This Weekend to Support Ferguson Cop

Leo Hohmann reports for WND that as many as 116 mass rallies are scheduled  in cities and communities across the country this weekend in support of several causes, including Ferguson police officer Darren Wilson.

The rallies began yesterday, in support of:

  • Ferguson police officer Darren Wilson: that he’s being unfairly portrayed as a cold-blooded killer in the national media.
  • U.S. Marine Andrew Tahmooressi who is still languishing in a Mexican jail because he accidentally crossed the border with guns for which he has a U.S. permit.
  • U.S. Border Patrol agents who have come under fire from Mexican drug cartels while trying to police the southern border.

Overpasses for America and Americans for Legal Immigration PAC (ALIPAC) are leading a broad coalition of groups participating in the rallies, which they see as a “warm-up” for even larger protests scheduled for Oct. 24-25 against illegal immigration if Obama unilaterally declares amnesty, which he has already telegraphed.

ALIPAC president William Gheen said that if Obama follows through with threats to declare amnesty for a large percentage of the roughly 25 million to 35 million illegals now in the country, his organization is prepared to “take the next step,” beyond holding protest signs on highway overpasses. “We may have to escalate our peaceful activism beyond overpasses and begin doing large scale sit-ins of whatever processing facilities they try to set up for the illegals. What Obama is doing and telegraphing he is going to do is a complete violation of our existing laws, our Constitution and our republic.”

James Neighbors, founder of Overpasses for America, said he senses that grassroots activism is growing in America:

“You get the train moving and people jump on, so whatever it takes. We jumped on the border protests July 18-19 and that was the first time multiple groups had come together, and that was sort of our alpha test. We had some bumps and potholes along the way, but we ended up pulling it off with over 320 groups. We understand Obama is the poster child for the problem but he is not the problem. He’s just the front man for the whole thing. You can almost look at Obama as the crowning achievement of the corruption going on in D.C. right now. He’s easily the most corrupt president we’ve ever had, but we like to bring attention to all of the problems that are a result of that agenda, and some of those we’ll be addressing this weekend [one of which is the “misperception” that all police are out to kill unarmed black teens.]

I honestly think what we’re seeing now is an example of neo-feudalism. If you look at the middle ages, it was that 1 percent of elites that seized control of everything. It’s a common behavior throughout history, and I think we’re just seeing another example of it in the 21st century. If you look at it, we have corporate lobbyists that go to Congress, and they go to every level of government, they lobby, they donate to campaigns and they get what they want. We’re now $18 trillion in debt. And at some point, we will have to repay that. If the U.S. government goes bankrupt, what will the U.S. government do if corporations say, ‘OK, we’ll pay off your debt, but guess what, we want provision?’”

Neighbors said few government programs have fulfilled their intended purpose, and most create a culture of dependency. “The vast majority of them have just simply failed. They’re ineffective. They’re over cost, and yet the government tries to get involved in every aspect of our lives. It’s almost as if the United States doesn’t matter to them. We’ve got 35 million illegal aliens in our country now. They tout 11 million but that’s a 10-year-old number.”

Neighbors believes that the collapsing of the U.S.-Mexico border is a purposeful act meant to usher in the North American Union, unifying the U.S., Mexico and Canada and modeled after the European Union across the Atlantic. “You have to wonder if that’s their agenda. I can’t remember hearing anything about it in the mainstream media, not a peep. The mainstream media are now controlled by six mega corporations, and because of that we no longer have real and fair journalistic reporting. That’s why this doesn’t get talked about. If it weren’t for the alternative media, thanks to the Internet, journalism would be dead.

Neighbors believes the Obama administration has declared war on hard-working middle-class Americans, tearing away at jobs by fostering open borders and disastrous trade agreements. “With Obama, I don’t know if he’s weak or just weakening us. We need a president who understands what this country is about, what our culture is.”

As of 4:30 p.m. Thursday, Texas already had 25 communities signed up to participate in the rallies this weekend.

Gheen said all racially inclusive groups are invited to join the growing coalition: “We are looking for more peaceful and racially inclusive organizations willing to unify with all Americans in opposition to illegal immigration.”

Any leader of an organization wishing to add their group to the coalition may email Gheen at [email protected].

Gosh, do you think there’ll be riots and looting at any of the 116 rallies? [Sarc/]

Meanwhile, here’s the latest on Ferguson.

Last Tuesday, Aug. 26, 2014, CNN broadcast a purported audio of the shooting of Michael Brown in Ferguson, Missouri, with sounds of 11 gunshots. The audio led almost every hour and was the biggest story of the day on CNN.

CNN did that without verifying the authenticity of the audio.

The next day, however, CNN was no longer crowing and began retreating from the audio, after two law enforcement experts believe the audio to be a hoax.

John Nolte of Breitbart points out that this is the second time CNN has been irresponsible with audio and, in so doing, smeared two men’s reputation. Using unintelligible audio of George Zimmerman’s 911 call, CNN falsely claimed Zimmerman had described Trayvon Martin as a “fucking coon” before fatally shooting the teenager. Even after it was proven Zimmerman didn’t use the racial slur (Zimmerman said it was “fucking cold” that night), CNN continued to lie to its audience, claiming Zimmerman had.

No wonder CNN is doing so poorly in viewer numbers that it’s trying to reduce its staff with buyoffs and layoffs. (See DCG’s post on this here.)

H/t FOTM’s pnordman for the audio story.
