Y'all. I saw a preview of the Glisten website and OH MY GORGEOUS. I am obsessed. More than obsessed. Obsessed doesn't even scrape the surface of how I feel. I shared the logo on Instagram so I figured it was a good time to share it on my little blog, too! This is the finalized logo (and it looks even better in color!):

What do y'all think?! I hope you love it as much as I do! My goal is to launch the website sometime in July...I know it sounds kinda far away (seriously didn't realize how much time & money went into starting a business...but I know it'll be worth it) but it'll be here before I know it! I'm hoping to have my tanks ready to sell by then, too :)
Why July you ask? Let me tell you. I'm about to get real with y'all. Well I'm always real, but I'm about to get personal. I mentioned in this post that I'm having surgery on June 14th. I also said that it was cosmetic and that I am totally fine. I was iffy about posting about this on the blog, but y'all are gonna find out sooner rather than later so I figured I might as well lay it all on the table now.
I'm getting breast implants. Yep...a boob job.
I know some people are anti-plastic surgery, but I'm not one of those people. The way I see it, I have worked my butt off (literally) to look the way that I do. I am dedicated. I push myself and am proud of my results (hence why I'm starting Glisten...I want to help other people feel their best, too!), but I'm still not 100% comfortable in my own body. I've wanted a boob job since I was 17 years old. When I lost all my weight, my boobs shrunk...duh, because boobs are made up of fat. They just aren't very pretty to look at since I've toned up. I've never been made fun of or anything, but when I look in the mirror I'm not as happy as I'd like to be. That might sound shallow to some people, but like I said...I'm just being real today. I want boobs for ME.
Don't worry, I'm not gonna show up in pictures with some double D's or anything crazy. I'm a smaller person, so I'm being moderate with the implant size. I'm mostly having the procedure done to fill my boobs out rather than make them huge. If that makes any sense. My surgery is June 14th, and I'll have to take a few weeks off of working out to recuperate. This is my first time having surgery so I'm not sure how my body handles this kind of thing. Once I'm all healed I'll be recording a weekly workout video to post on the Glisten site. I seriously have a lot of fun stuff in store for y'all!
If you're not a fan of breast implants or plastic surgery, hey, good for you! But this is my body and my decision, so I'd really appreciate it if you'd keep any negative comments to yourself :) Thanks!
