Verdict on Waking Nightmare

Waking Nightmare is a mystery horror following a young woman struggling with sleepwalking and nightmares. She can’t shake problems and medication doesn’t seem to be improving. However, things get worse when people start turning up dead.

This is a horror movie that gets to explore the nightmares of sleepwalking and dealing with a close loss. It shows Jordan feeling guilty for something out of her control and throwing in a slasher side plot to keep things interesting. However, not too much of the movie feels as connected as it could. We seem to get thrown into a supernatural connection with the nightmares. While on the other hand, we get caught up in the middle of a slasher movie that never has any suspense.

Final Thoughts Waking Nightmare tries to put too much into the story, causing the scares to fall flat.
