On the online Q&A about “The Wolverine”, Hugh Jackman and director James Mangold revealed an impressive teaser poster for the movie.

As you can see, It’s comic book cover styled and quite well done.

In his previous interview with the Empire magazine, Mangold said these:

“Where this film sits in the universe of the films is after them all. Jean Grey is gone, most of the X-Men are disbanded or gone, so there’s a tremendous sense of isolation for him. That’s something that for me was very important, that I land in a very specific place in his timeline. I wanted to be able to tell the story without the burden of handing it off to a film that already exists and having to conform to it.”

This also allows Mangold to explore some big themes:

“The ideas of immortality reign very heavily in this story and the burden of immortality weighs heavily on Logan. For me that’s such an interesting part of Logan’s character that is nearly impossible to explore if you have a kind of league or team movie.”

The magazine provided a picture of post-adamantium bone clawed Wolverine too.

Mangold says that “The Outlaw Josey Wales” is a big influence on the Wolvie film which will take place after “X-Men: The Last Stand”. We’ll also see a more grounded action and learn what Wolverine’s equivalent of kryptonite is.

While there will be other mutants, the villain isn’t clear yet and the main question movie will be dealing with is,

How does a man deal with immortality?
