Story: The First Fallen starts by taking us back to 1980s Brazil. Here, we meet Suzano (Massaro), Muriel (Bonin) and Rose (Carvalho). Suzano and Humberto are a gay couple enjoying their lives together, while Rose is a transwoman demanding to be accepted for who they are.

As the community comes together, they start meeting new partners, leading to a spread of a mystery illness to them. This shows how the AIDS crisis started taking over the community, as they didn’t know how the epidemic would affect them.

Verdict on The First Fallen

The First Fallen is a drama showing how suddenly the AIDS epidemic hits a small community. It shows how the LGBTQ community wasn’t aware of the problem they were facing and the local authority wouldn’t do anything to help them. Outside of the epidemic, we see the ups and downs of being in love.

This movie gets to highlight the sudden changes and how helpless a community became. It shows the sudden deadly virus spread through the community and the lives that are affected by it. The performances in the movie are strong and bring out the best in the actors involved. Having a bigger discussion within the movie is important and by the end of the movie, people should be aware of the struggles.

Final Thoughts The First Fallen is a strong drama about a painful struggle.
