Steve Carell Signed for a Mob Comedy by Warner Bros.

Steve Carell Signed Comedy Warner Bros.The Incredible Burt Wonderstone star Steve Carell has joined Warner Bros. for a comedy as-of-yet untitled film opposite Jake Johnson (Fox’s New Girl).

The project will be directed by Max Winkler (Ceremony). Rodney Rothman will screenplay. Plot details are few. The storyline is said to involve the mob and is based on a story by Johnson and Winkler, who will also produce.

Steve Carell, who has recently wrapped on The Incredible Burt Wonderstone, can next be seen in Seeking a Friend for the End of the World. He has also signed on for an adaptation of Judith Viorst’s children’s book Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day with Lisa Cholodenko directing. Jake Johnson, who was recently seen in No Strings and 21 Jump Street, can next be seen in Safety Not Guaranteed.
