Close to the end of my first round of Starting Strength, it ends after session # 24. Overall today was pretty effective. I had to push really hard in the power clean section but I feel accomplished! Below are the stats for today.

Mark Rippetoe’s Starting Strength Session # 22

Squat(Hack Technique)
Supposed to be: 5/5/5 @ 185
My reps: 5/5/5 @ 165lbs

So today I wanted to have an inprovement after the last workout of squats which were 165 then 155lbs. So today I wanted to aim for all of my sets @ 165 which would be a 10lb increase.  It was pretty tough but I was able to do all 3 sets of 5 reps @ 165lbs! While personally I feel the form was kinda bad, I still did as best as I could.

Overhead Press
Supposed to be: 5/5/5 @ 130lbs
My reps: 3/3/3 @ 115lbs

This was very tough as always, I have 1 more workout left to do the reps at this weight until I try to increase. It was pretty hard but I feel I did better than last week on this personally. I didnt have to push press as much for assistance.

Powerclean
Supposed to be: 3 sets of 5 reps @ 135lbs
My Reps: 3 sets of 5 reps @ 120lbs

Since I finally maxed out on Power Cleans the other week, I’m doing another of the ‘do this weight for 3 workouts’ and seeing how that goes. Today was pretty tough with power clean, I had to keep my heart rate really high in order to stay focused and in my zone. If I rest for too long my body & mind gets the feeling of ‘well I got 3 more sets but lets just wait 5 minutes per set’. Instead of just knocking them out quick.

I took 2.5 scoops of C4 today & that helped a lot! You should definitely look into getting it! You can check it out in my store by clicking the home page above & searching for ‘cellucor c4′

Workout Time: 54 minutes
