The English version of the highly twisted and successful South Korean cult classic of Park Chan-wook’s “Oldboy” is ready for release. In its Hollywood version, helmed by Spike Lee, Josh Brolin reprises the role of Choi Min-Sik, a businessman who gets kidnapped and held hostage for 20 years in solitary confinement.
Here’s the trailer of new ‘Oldboy’, which more or less looks like a frame-to-frame copy. From the rushes of it, we can also see that Spike Lee has attempted the famous hallway fight scene from the original.
The only difference i noticed in the trailer is that Samuel L. Jackson is the baddie. We had a younger actor in the original. I supposes here is where Lee introduces us to his version of the story.
