Several Networks Want Ronan Farrow Now

Two years ago, Ronan Farrow – son of Mia Farrow, estranged son of Woody Allen and possible son of Frank Sinatra – had a show on MSNBC called Ronan Farrow Daily. It aired for a year before getting canceled. He continued to work for NBC, but according to Page Six, his deal with NBC and MSNBC is up. Ronan is coming off a hot week, thanks to his own exposé about Harvey Weinstein for The New Yorker. And apparently that has caused other networks to circle Junior Blue Eyes.

Insiders tell Page Six that ABC, CNN, and CBS are reportedly “aggressively” pursuing Ronan. Ronan is currently working freelance for NBC/MSNBC and has been dragging his feet to sign a new deal since his contract expired in September.

“All of the major news networks are interested in signing Ronan. His reporting brought down a giant and changed the worldwide conversation about sexual harassment.”

Despite being one of the networks hoping to snag Ronan, one of the sources claims that CNN has gotten cold feet, so it’s down to ABC and NBC.

Page Six points out that there’s a chance Ronan might not re-sign with NBC after the post-cancellation stunt they pulled on him. After Ronan’s show got canned, he was moved to a cubicle in the newsroom that was visible by viewers.

Sources also say that Ronan isn’t too crazy about re-signing with NBC, because they refused to run his Weinstein story even after they commissioned him to cover it. So he took his story to the New Yorker and that was that. Sources close to NBC claim it was because Ronan’s story was far from what eventually ran (Ronan has strongly denied that). So they allegedly fucked over Ronan, all while fruitlessly pumping money and time into Megyn Kelly’s failing talk show. When it comes to blue-eyed blond-haired hosts, NBC should stand for “Not (making) the Best Choices.
