Story: Punch starts when Frankie (Allison) prepares to return to university. Her mother Julia (Wareing) doesn’t want her to go back, while her best friend Holly (Campbell) is happy to see her succeed. The pair head out for one final night before Frankie leaves, dealing with past problems.

However, the night takes a drastic turn when a mysterious killer in a Mr Punch mask starts targeting people along the seafront. It isn’t long before he clashes with Frankie and Holly, leading to them needing to figure out how to survive.

Verdict on Punch

Punch is a horror slasher movie following two friends that find themselves the latest target of a masked killer. They are out having a final drink before one moves on with her life. However, the celebrations get interrupted by the killer on his latest rampage.

When it comes to slasher movies, location can become key and using the English holiday resort of Hastings brings a new holiday camp horror. This follows a traditional concept of a slasher, where we have a final girl in a battle against a killer. All after the killer has been on a rampage. There are unique kills using items around the famous Punch and Judy shows. This embraces everything English and throws it into a slasher movie. Alina Allison is great in the leading role and is surrounded by a strong supporting cast.

Final ThoughtsPunch is a great British slasher movie.
